Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,<br \/>\n \u2018Peace be with you,\u2019 20 and, after saying this, he showed<br \/>\nthem his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced at seeing the<br \/>\nLord, 21 and he said to them again, \u2018Peace be with you.<br \/>\n\u2018As the Father has sent me,<br \/>\nso am I sending you.\u2019<br \/>\n22 After saying this he breathe on them and said:<br \/>\n\u2018Receive the Holy Spirit.<br \/>\n23 If you forgive anyone\u2019s sins,<br \/>\nthey are forgiven;<br \/>\nif you retain anyone\u2019s sins,<br \/>\nthey are retained.\u2019<br \/>\n24 Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not<br \/>\nwith them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples said to him,<br \/>\n\u2018We have seen the Lord,\u2019 but he answered, \u2018Unless I see in his hands<br \/>\nthe mark of the nails and put my finger in the mark of the nails, and<br \/>\nmy hand into his side, I will not believe.\u2019 26 Eight days later the<br \/>\ndisciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them.<br \/>\nAlthough the doors were closed, Jesus came and stood among them<br \/>\nand said, \u2018Peace be with you.\u2019 27 Then he said to Thomas, \u2018Put your<br \/>\n21finger here, and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my<br \/>\nside.
