Even dogs came<br \/>\nand licked his sores. 22 Now it happened that the poor man died<br \/>\nand was carried away by the angels into Abraham\u2019s embrace. The<br \/>\nrich man also died and was buried. 23 In his torment in Hades he<br \/>\nlooked up and saw Abraham a long way off with Lazarus in his<br \/>\nembrace. 24 So he cried out, \u201cFather Abraham, have mercy on me<br \/>\nand send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my<br \/>\ntongue, for I am in agony in these flames.\u201d 25 Abraham said, \u201cMy<br \/>\nson, remember that during your life you had your fill of good things,<br \/>\njust as Lazarus his fill of bad.
