It was<br \/>\nby the Sea of Tiberias, and he showed himself in this way: 2<br \/>\nSimon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael from Cana in<br \/>\nGalilee, the sons of Zebedee and two more of his disciples were<br \/>\ntogether. 3 Simon Peter said to them, \u2018I am going fishing.\u2019 They<br \/>\nreplied, \u2018We will come with you.\u2019 They went out and got into the boat<br \/>\nbut that night caught nothing.<br \/>\n4 When it was getting light, Jesus was standing on the shore,<br \/>\nthough the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Jesus called<br \/>\nout, \u2018Children, have you anything to eat?\u2019 They answered, \u2018No.\u2019 6 He<br \/>\nsaid to them, \u2018Throw the net out to starboard and you will find<br \/>\nsomething.\u2019 So they threw the net out and did not have strength to<br \/>\nhaul it in because of the number of fish. 7 The disciple whom Jesus<br \/>\nloved said to Peter,  \u2018It is the Lord.\u2019 So Simon Peter,<br \/>\nhearing that it was the Lord tied his outer garment round him (for he<br \/>\nwas stripped) and threw himself into the sea. 8 The other disciples<br \/>\ncame on in the boat, towing the net with the fish; they were only<br \/>\nabout a hundred metres from land.<br \/>\n9 When they came ashore they saw a charcoal fire there with fish<br \/>\ncooking on it and bread. 10 Jesus said, \u2018Bring some of the fish you<br \/>\nhave just caught.\u2019 11 Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net<br \/>\nonto the shore, full of big fish, one hundred and fifty-three of them,<br \/>\nand although there were so many the net was not broken. 12 Jesus<br \/>\nsaid to them, \u2018Come and have breakfast.\u2019 None of the disciples dared<br \/>\nto ask him, \u2018Who are you?\u2019 knowing that it was the Lord. 13 Jesus<br \/>\ncame, took the bread and gave it to them, and the same with the<br \/>\nfish. 14 This was the third time that Jesus showed himself to the<br \/>\ndisciples after being raised from the dead.<br \/>\n15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,<br \/>\n\u2018Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?\u2019 He answered,<br \/>\n\u2018Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.\u2019b Jesus said to him, \u2018Feed my<br \/>\nlambs.\u2019 16 A second time he said to him, \u2018Simon son of John, do you<br \/>\nlove me?\u2019 He replied, \u2018Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.\u2019 Jesus said<br \/>\nto him, \u2018Look after my sheep.\u2019 17 Then he said to him a third time,<br \/>\n\u2018Simon son of John, do you love me?\u2019 Peter was hurt that he asked<br \/>\nhim a third time, \u2018Do you love me?\u2019 and said, \u2018Lord, you know<br \/>\neverything; you know that I love you.\u2019 Jesus said to him, \u2018Feed my<br \/>\nsheep.c<br \/>\n18 \u2018Amen, Amen I say to you,<br \/>\nwhen you were young<br \/>\nyou put on your own belt and walked where you liked;<br \/>\nbut when you grow old<br \/>\nyou will stretch out your hands,<br \/>\nand someone else will put a belt round you<br \/>\nand take you where you would rather not go.\u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to a transformative journey as we delve into the profound practice of Lectio Divina, a spiritual meditation technique rooted in ancient traditions.
