The Fish in the Sea - David Walker
Nothing in all nature is so lovely and so vigorous, so perfectly at home in its environment, as a fish in the sea. It’s surroundings give to it a beauty, quality, and power which is not its own. We take it out, and at once a poor, limp dull thing, fit for nothing, is gasping away its life. So the…

Scripture ~ Thoughts ~ Reflections
From David's Desk

Phil 4:6-7

St Clare of Assis

St Augustine

Traditional Prayer - St. Polycarp’s Last Words

“O Lord God Almighty, Father of Your beloved and blessed Son Jesus Christ, through whom we have received the knowledge of You - God of angels and hosts, and all creation - and of the whole race of the saints who live under your eyes!, I bless you, because You have seen fit to bestow upon me this day and this hour, that I may share, among the number of martyrs, the cup of Your anointed and rise to eternal life, both in soul and body, in virtue of immortality of the Holy Spirt. May I be accepted among them in Your sight today is a rich and pleasing sacrifice, such as You, the true God, that cannot utter a falsehood, have prearranged, revealed in advance and now consummated. And therefore I praise You for everything; I bless You; You through the eternal and heavenly High Priest Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son, through whom be the glory to You together with Him and the Holy Spirit, both now and for the ages yet to come. Amen.” (St. Polycarp about to be burned to death for his Christian faith)
